Apocalypse is the acclaimed 2013 album from visionary bassist and producer Thundercat, a genre-blurring release that fuses jazz, funk, soul and electronic textures into a deeply personal and forward-thinking body of work. Widely considered a breakthrough moment in his catalogue, the album showcases Thundercat’s virtuosic musicianship alongside introspective songwriting and rich, layered production.

Featuring standout tracks such as “Oh Sheit It’s X,” “Heartbreaks + Setbacks,” and “A Fan’s Mail (Tron Song Suite II),” Apocalypse balances playful grooves with emotional depth, exploring themes of loss, identity and growth. Its distinctive sound has made it a modern classic, influencing a new generation of genre-fluid artists.

This Limited Edition 10 Year Anniversary reissue is pressed on translucent red vinyl LP and presented in a striking rainbow holographic sleeve with gold foil detailing, housed inside a transparent PVC outer slipcase featuring an “x-ray” holographic skull print. The release also includes two previously unreleased tracks—“Before I Loved Myself ‘I’ Pooped My Ankles (True)” and “Paris”—alongside an MP3 download code.

With art direction by Stephen Serrato, reworked for this edition by Adam Stover, and cover photography by B+, this edition offers a visually bold and expanded presentation of one of Thundercat’s most important releases.
