A Pound of Feathers
A Pound of Feathers sees The Black Crowes riding the momentum of their GRAMMY®-nominated return, Happiness Bastards, and pushing forward with renewed energy and purpose. Fresh from that success, Chris and Rich Robinson headed back to Nashville in early 2025 to reunite with producer Jay Joyce—recapturing the spark that reignited the band’s creative fire.
The result is a record that leans fully into their strengths: blues-soaked rock, loose grooves and soulful swagger. Built on rich guitar interplay, driving rhythms and Chris Robinson’s unmistakable vocals, the album balances grit with melody—moving effortlessly between laid-back, rootsy moments and punchier, riff-driven tracks.
There’s a sense of immediacy throughout—songs that feel lived-in, spontaneous and locked-in as a band. It’s The Black Crowes doing what they do best, but with the confidence of a group revitalised and firing again.
Pressed on vinyl LP, A Pound of Feathers delivers a warm, full-bodied listening experience—authentic, energetic and a natural continuation of the band’s enduring legacy.
