Eye In The Sky

Originally released in 1982, Eye In The Sky is one of The Alan Parsons Project’s most iconic and commercially successful albums. The band’s sixth studio release became a worldwide hit and earned a Grammy nomination, achieving gold and platinum certification in multiple countries while delivering some of the project’s most recognisable recordings.

Blending progressive rock sophistication with polished pop songwriting, the album showcases the meticulous studio craftsmanship that defined the partnership between producer/engineer Alan Parsons and songwriter Eric Woolfson. Featuring the unforgettable instrumental opener Sirius — widely used in sports arenas and broadcasts around the world — and the timeless title track Eye In The Sky, the record remains one of the most enduring releases in the band’s catalogue.

As with other Alan Parsons Project albums, the record features a rotating lineup of lead vocalists including Chris Rainbow, Colin Blunstone, Lenny Zakatek and Eric Woolfson himself. They are joined by the project’s core group of renowned session musicians, including guitarist Ian Bairnson, bassist David Paton and drummer Stuart Elliott, with orchestral arrangements by Andrew Powell, creating the richly layered sound that became the group’s signature.

This 2026 reissue has been half-speed remastered by Miles Showell at Abbey Road Studios and pressed on limited edition 180g clear vinyl, delivering exceptional clarity and detail. The release also includes an insert featuring sleeve notes and reflections from Alan Parsons and Eric Woolfson.
