In A Space Outta Dub is a reimagined collaboration between electronic pioneer Nightmares on Wax (aka George Evelyn) and legendary dub producer Adrian Sherwood. Created to mark the 20th anniversary of In A Space Outta Sound, the album sees Sherwood reinterpret key tracks through a deep, immersive dub lens.
Drawing on the spirit of reggae and sound system culture that influenced the original record, Sherwood transforms eight selections into spacious, bass-driven versions filled with echo, delay and textured instrumentation. Familiar tracks are reshaped into entirely new forms, including âYou Wishâ reworked as âYou Blissâ and âFlip Ya Lidâ reimagined as âFlippin Eck,â highlighting the creative interplay between the two artists.
With contributions from members of the On-U Sound collective, In A Space Outta Dub becomes more than a remix projectâitâs a full reinterpretation that bridges downtempo electronica and classic dub traditions, offering a fresh perspective on a beloved release.
