In Through The Out Door
Originally released in 1979, In Through The Out Door is the eighth and final studio album from legendary rock pioneers Led Zeppelin. Arriving near the end of the band’s remarkable run, the album captures a group still experimenting and evolving, blending their signature hard rock sound with new musical directions including synthesiser-driven arrangements and expansive studio production.
Much of the album reflects the growing creative influence of bassist and keyboardist John Paul Jones, whose use of keyboards helped shape the distinctive sound of tracks like “Carouselambra” and “All My Love.” At the same time, the band’s classic rock power remains firmly present in songs such as “In the Evening,” which opens the album with one of Jimmy Page’s towering guitar riffs and the unmistakable vocals of Robert Plant.
The album would become a major commercial success, reaching number one in multiple countries and adding another chapter to Led Zeppelin’s extraordinary legacy. It also stands as the band’s final studio release before the death of drummer John Bonham in 1980 brought the group to an end.
This remastered 180g vinyl reissue faithfully presents the album in stereo with the collectible “A” sleeve variant, part of the famously designed outer sleeves that originally shipped in randomly assorted covers. For collectors and fans alike, In Through The Out Door remains an essential late-era Led Zeppelin release and a fascinating snapshot of one of rock’s most influential bands at the close of the 1970s.
