For RSD Black Friday, and in celebration of the 25th anniversary of this landmark recording, Deltron 3030 is presented in a double splatter vinyl pressing, housed in a gatefold jacket with printed inner sleeves and a commemorative OBI.
The supergroup Deltron 3030 is composed of producer Dan the Automator, rapper Del tha Funkee Homosapien, and DJ Kid Koala. Their self-titled release features appearances by Damon Albarn (Gorillaz, Blur), Prince Paul, Peanut Butter Wolf, DJ Money Mark, MC Paul Barman, Sean Lennon, and more. This hip hop concept album was released the same year as Gorillazâ first 12" and exists on a similar creative plane. Following the release of Deltron 3030, all three members contributed to Gorillazâ self-titled debut album.
With Del (aka Deltron Zero) on vocals, Dan the Automator (aka The Cantankerous Captain Aptos) on production, and Kid Koala (aka Skiznoid the Boy Wonder) on turntables, Deltron 3030 takes the listener on a paranoid journey set in the dystopian year 3030, exploring themes of viruses, apocalypse, oppressive government, and a war against the Corporate Bank of Time, a massive company that rules the universe.
For this 25th Anniversary Edition, Deltron 3030 is pressed on two unique splatter vinyl LPs: the first in clear with yellow and black splatter, and the second in clear with mint green and bluejay splatter. Both are housed in printed inner sleeves, with the set completed by a commemorative OBI, available exclusively for RSD Black Friday.
