Station to Station
Station to Station is David Bowie’s towering tenth studio album, originally released on 23 January 1976, and one of the most pivotal records of his career. Often described as the bridge between the plastic soul of Young Americans and the stark experimentation of the Berlin era, Station to Station marked the emergence of Bowie’s enigmatic Thin White Duke persona.
Recorded at Cherokee Studios, Hollywood with co-producer Harry Maslin, the album fuses funk, art-rock and European electronic influence across six expansive tracks. It features the classic singles “Golden Years,” “TVC15” and “Stay,” with the epic title track standing as one of Bowie’s most ambitious and influential compositions.
This Limited 50th Anniversary Edition is presented as a remastered, half-speed mastered 180g vinyl LP, cut at AIR Studios, London. The lacquer was recut on a customised late-model Neumann VMS80 lathe with fully recapped electronics, sourced from 192kHz restored masters of the original Record Plant master tapes. No additional processing was applied, ensuring the most faithful and dynamic representation of the original recording possible.
A definitive audiophile pressing of one of Bowie’s most important albums — essential listening for collectors and fans seeking the finest vinyl edition of this landmark release.
